Fantastic Four #530

All four members of Marvel's First Family find themselves under siege on this 2005 installment of Fantastic Four, with green energy blasts tearing through the scene as Sue Storm recoils in the foreground, Mr. Fantastic reaches out behind her, the Thing braces on the left, and a blazing Human Torch lights up the right side of the cover. Mike McKone's pencils give the composition a real sense of kinetic danger, capturing the team caught in a fierce, coordinated assault. J. Michael Straczynski's "Truth in Flight" arc continues here, and this cover alone promises the FF are facing something formidable enough to rattle even the world's most resilient superhero family.
