Fanboys vs. Zombies #4
Four battered but defiant survivors stride through the wreckage of a zombie-overrun San Diego Comic-Con, their convention badges still hanging around their necks and their clothes soaked in blood — a striking image penciled and inked by Humberto Ramos. Leading the group is a spiky-haired guy hefting a hammer, flanked by a heavyset kid in a splattered black tee, a dark-haired young woman, and a woman in a purple cat-ear beanie, all stepping over fallen undead in the ravaged convention hall. Sam Humphries and Jerry Gaylord's series finds its groove right here — equal parts fan culture love letter and gleefully messy survival story.
