Fanboys vs. Zombies #11

From BOOM! Studios comes issue #11 of the gloriously chaotic Fanboys vs. Zombies, where the cover by Jerry Gaylord throws the gang headlong into what appears to be a full-on wizard-school parody — a bespectacled, wand-wielding hero in robes charges forward on a broomstick while his crew (including a pink-haired companion and a goggled teammate) soars behind him, all framed by a gothic castle and an encroaching horde of hungry undead. It's a wonderfully energetic mash-up of pop-culture cosplay chaos and zombie mayhem that perfectly captures the series' spirit. Written by Sam Humphries and Shane Houghton with art from Jerry Gaylord, this 2013 issue delivers exactly the kind of gleeful, genre-blending fun the series promises right on its cover.
