The cover of this fourth issue from Justin Jordan, Nikki Ryan, Morgan Beem, and Rachel Deering delivers a striking bird's-eye view of a dark-clad figure plummeting — or perhaps diving — toward a sprawling red cityscape below, rendered in Morgan Beem's distinctive watercolor-infused style of deep blacks and vivid crimson. Ghostly, wide-eyed shapes drift around the falling figure, lending the scene an eerie, almost dreamlike weight against that stark white background. The Family Trade continues to look like one of Image's most visually distinctive series of 2018, and this issue promises the same atmospheric tension the series has built so far.
