Falling in Love #75
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeDC's Falling in Love #75 (May 1965) opens with a wonderfully tense cover by Gene Colan: a stylish young woman in a gold sweater browses a newsstand rack — notably holding a Miss Young America magazine — while a handsome man in a yellow blazer approaches from behind, unaware she's the very girl from the contest photo. Her thought bubble captures the anxiety perfectly: she fears the moment he sees her, he'll know she's "a cheat." It's a pitch-perfect snapshot of mid-1960s romance comics at their most dramatically charged, promising heart-tugging stories inside including the featured tale "Second-Hand Heart!" with interior art by Tony Abruzzo and Bernard Sachs.
