Falling in Love #49

Few comics capture romantic anxiety quite like this 1962 entry in DC's Falling in Love series. The cover by John Romita sets the mood perfectly: a worried young woman in a green wrap bites her knuckle in the foreground, while in the background a well-dressed man reassures a brunette woman in a golden dress — "Take your time, Janis — you don't have to rush!" — teasing the heartbreak promised by the featured story "Stolen Date!" Inside, Mike Sekowsky brings the drama of "I Know My Love!" to life, making this a fine example of the heartfelt romance comics DC was producing at the time.
