Sally's boyfriend Robin is suspended from college for his involvement with student protests. That summer, he asks her to meet him at the Woodstock Festival, but she gets stranded along the way and is helped by Zack, who takes her to the Festival. When Sally searches for Robin, but finds him with another girl, Zack is sympathetic, but he callously leaves her at the end of the Festival. She finally reunites with Robin and finds that she misunderstood what she saw as Robin has been volunteering at the Festival as a medic.
