The split cover design by Gisèle Lagacé says it all: above the title, one of the Exorsisters levitates cross-legged with hair flying wild, wielding what looks like a conductor's baton while a tiny devil figure gets sent flying on a string — and below, her sister squares off fists-first against a pair of snarling, grotesque demons. Ian Boothby's supernatural sibling series keeps its sharp sense of humor intact even here, balancing genuine menace with a playful energy that makes the book hard to resist. Issue five of this Image series looks like exactly the kind of stylish, fun demon-busting adventure Lagacé's expressive linework was made for.
