Exiles #79
The "Future Imperfect World Tour" kicks off in Exiles #79, as the team finds themselves in what appears to be a grim, industrial setting filled with unsettling surprises — a glowing severed head in a dome, a luminous skeleton, and a red-and-blue spider-creature crawling the ceiling all set an ominously surreal tone. Center stage, a bald, yellow-costumed figure surveys the scene with quiet unease, flanked by teammates including a green-skinned woman, a long-haired feral figure, an armored warrior, and a young man with a star emblem — quite the roster for a dimension-hopping crew. Paul Pelletier's cover pencils (inked by Dave Meikis) pack the frame with vivid, chaotic energy, and with Tony Bedard writing and the "Civil War Begins" banner marking its 2006 moment in Marvel history, this first chapter of two promises a wild ride through a very imperfect future.
