The Exiles land in swashbuckling trouble in this 2018 Marvel series, with David Marquez's cover dropping the team right onto the deck of a pirate ship — where a menacing Blackbeard brandishes both pistol and cutlass while a fierce young Wolverine, claws raised, squares off against him alongside two determined teammates. The cover's speech bubble delivers a wonderful touch of humor: someone seems surprised that The Thing isn't being particularly nice. Saladin Ahmed and Javier Rodríguez's dimension-hopping series continues to find inventive corners of the Marvel multiverse to explore, and a high-seas confrontation with a legendary pirate makes for one of its most entertaining stops yet.
