The cover of Excalibur #7 pulls you right into the action: a squad of mutants — including a pink-energy-wielding sorceress, a visor-wearing figure unleashing bursts of power, a leaping fighter hurling a charged weapon, and two more teammates at their flanks — stand their ground against a surging mass of monstrous grey creatures closing in from below.
