Ex Machina #12
The Eisner-nominated Ex Machina reaches its twelfth issue with a cover by Tony Harris that bathes the series' goggle-wearing protagonist in the warm, burnished glow of a New York City sunset, skyscrapers framing him as he stares forward with quiet, steely resolve. His utility-laden jacket and gear-emblazoned chest piece give him the look of someone equally at home on a rooftop or behind a desk — a fitting tension for a story titled "Fact v. Fiction, Chapter 1." Brian K. Vaughan and Harris have crafted one of 2005's most talked-about Wildstorm titles, and this issue looks every bit ready to keep that momentum going.
