With a speech bubble announcing "We're trying to write a song about saving energy!" this January 1991 cover by Dan DeCarlo finds Archie on electric guitar and a bandmate at the keyboards, surrounded by speakers, stage lights, and a tangle of cords — all while a bemused adult looks on from the side. The gang's familiar faces peek in from the banner strip along the left edge, giving the whole scene that warm, ensemble energy Riverdale does so well. It's a cheerful snapshot of early-'90s Archie doing what he does best: stumbling into something earnest and fun at the same time.
