Eight issues into Marvel's twelve-issue limited series, The Eternals delivers a cover that earns its "Party Crashers!" banner with real flair — a blue-and-red-costumed Eternal fires an energy weapon point-blank into a trio of armed, alien-looking attackers while panicked partygoers scatter in the chaos below. Keith Pollard's cover art keeps the action kinetic and grounded, with debris flying and drinks spilling as two very different worlds — elegant social gathering and superhuman combat — collide in one crowded frame. Peter B. Gillis and Sal Buscema's twelve-issue saga was clearly hitting its stride in 1986, and this issue promises all the grand-scale conflict the title has to offer.
