Esther Verkest #13

The thirteenth installment of Kim's Esther Verkest series arrives with a cover that's equal parts playful and irreverent — Esther herself poses confidently amid a tangle of industrial pipes, surrounded by a wonderfully odd cast of floating heads, a werewolf, a ghost straight out of a classic arcade game, and a lit candle, all set against a cool mint-green background. The title Enkel voor onbevoegden ("For Unauthorized Eyes Only") perfectly captures the cheeky, adults-only spirit that Belgian publisher Oogachtend has been delivering with this series. If you've been following Esther's adventures, issue #13 makes clear there's still plenty of quirky mischief left in this series.
