Essential Daredevil #2
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThis second volume of Marvel's Essential series collects Daredevil issues #26-48 and Annual #1, covering the late 1960s stories by writer Stan Lee and artist Gene Colan. It features Matt Murdock's early adventures as the Man Without Fear, including the introduction of the villainous Gladiator and the first appearance of the original Black Widow, Natasha Romanoff, as a foe before her eventual turn to heroism. Presented in black-and-white on newsprint, this thick trade paperback offers a budget-friendly way to experience a formative era of Daredevil's Silver Age run.
In "Stilt-Man Strikes Again," Daredevil’s latest showdown takes a mythic turn when Matt Murdock dons a Thor-inspired disguise to lure out Cobra and Hyde—only to face the real god of thunder, who’s none too pleased with the impersonation. Written by Stan Lee and brought to life with moody precision by Gene Colan, the issue blends supernatural flair with Daredevil’s signature grit, culminating in a shocking twist that leaves Matt truly blind. The cover, also by Gene Colan, captures the clash of gods and man in bold, dramatic strokes.
