This 1991 German-language release from Kunst der Comics / Alpha introduces Erma Jaguar, a collaboration between writer-artist Alex Varenne and co-writer Gerd Benz, with Varenne's distinctive linework carrying through from cover to interior pages. Varenne, who both penciled and inked the cover, brings a polished, European sensibility to the project, complemented by Michael Hau's lettering. At 19,80 DEM, it's a handsome artifact of the early-'90s Franco-Belgian comics scene finding an eager audience in Germany.
