Emma is horrified as she learns that Astrid has caused the recent attacks among her circle of friends to bring Emma closer to her. Emma and Astrid clash but Emma is victorious as her new friend taught her how to use her mind powers a little too well. Emma uses her powers yet again to get Ian out of trouble for his attack on Christie but Ian ends up rejecting her when Emma reveals to him that she is a mutant.
