The seventh chapter of Daedalus's Dutch-language fantasy series brings "Het Krystal van de Boselfen" to life with a striking cover by Gianluca Maconi — a commanding elven warrior in ornate teal armor and a fur-trimmed hooded cloak stands poised on a frozen shoreline, a great white wolf at her side and a ship looming through the icy mist behind her. The pairing of warrior and wolf radiates quiet power, while Olivier Héban's cool, wintry palette gives the whole image a crisp, otherworldly atmosphere. If this 2015 entry is any indication, Elfen continues to be one of the more visually ambitious European fantasy series in the genre.
