Eks almanah #125/1
In the 1978 holiday issue of Eks almanah, writer Paul Kupperberg and artists Marshall Rogers with inks by Frank Springer deliver "Velika najezda fantoma," a poignant tale set on ancient Krypton. Clark shares with Jon Ross the legend of Jo-Mon, a mysterious peacemaker whose quiet words sparked a revolution, even as he was silenced by the tyrant Al-Nei—leaving behind a legacy that reshaped their world. The story’s haunting atmosphere is matched by Curt Swan’s cover pencils and Neal Adams’ inks, capturing the mythic tone of a tale that echoes through time.

At Christmas time, Clark tells Jon Ross the story of how on ancient Krypton, when Bel-Der fought to free his fellow men from the tyranny of Al-Nei, a miracle-working stranger named Jo-Mon appeared. Though Jo-Mon spoke only of peace, Al-Nei killed the prophet, but not before he had convinced many men to follow his ways and brought lasting peace to Krypton.
