The Beginning of the End!" declares this 1994 DC series finale arc, and the cover — penciled by Audwynn Jermaine Newman — makes the stakes unmistakably clear. A massive, green-skinned Eclipso dominates the foreground, blue cape draped over hulking shoulders, while a shadowy monstrous figure looms in the jungle darkness behind him; to his left stand a nervous-looking older man in a blue jacket and the Flash, both dwarfed by the villain's sheer scale. With Robert Loren Fleming's script and a full inking team bringing the drama home, Eclipso #17 looks like a genuinely tense send-off to one of DC's more underrated dark corners of the early '90s.
