Hawkgirl tries again to convince Green Lantern to join a team of heroes but he still refuses. Commander Khan does not want to be allied with Terry Sloan but he is given no choice, so he enlists the help of Wesley Dodds and the Sandmen to uncover Sloan's secrets. They find Mr. Terrific, who has been brainwshed by Sloan.
