The third issue of this Secret Wars tie-in series delivers one of 2015's more unsettling cover compositions: a mild-mannered, bespectacled young man in a rumpled shirt and tie stands at the center of a sea of blue, feral Beast variants — hulking, brooding, and multiplying in every direction around him. Ian Bertram's linework gives the image a genuinely eerie quality, the lone human figure dwarfed by the surrounding wall of fur and glowing white eyes. It's the kind of cover that makes you pause and look twice, and that's exactly the point.
