In the 1951 science fiction tale "null" from Dynamic Thrills #6, Professor Newton and Buck find themselves diverted from their return to Mars by the Grand Martian, who sends them to Venus on a urgent mission: to retrieve the roots of the rare Vergo Lily, a vital cure for the spreading Zeper sickness ravaging their home planet.
