The eighteenth chapter of Arboris's long-running Dutch-language Western series arrives with a cover by Yves Swolfs that puts Durango front and center — steely-eyed beneath his black hat, rifle in hand, astride a powerful bay horse as two heavily armed riders flank him against a sun-baked desert landscape of cacti and distant mountains. The title "Gegijzeld" (Hostage) promises exactly the kind of tense, high-stakes confrontation this gritty series does so well. With story work from Swolfs and Hans van den Boom and art by Iko, this 2021 installment looks every bit as atmospheric and hard-edged as the best of the Durango saga.
