Druid #4
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThe fourth and final issue of Warren Ellis's occult Marvel series arrives with a cover by Leonardo Manco that is equal parts eerie and hypnotic — a luminous, heavily adorned woman cradles a glowing orb while a snarling, tattooed beast looms at her back, its yellow eyes burning out of the darkness. Manco's intricate linework gives both figures an almost ritualistic quality, the swirling body markings and dangling jewelry pulling the eye deeper into the unsettling green-tinged composition. If 1995 Marvel had a corner reserved for genuinely strange, atmospheric storytelling, Druid occupied it with confidence right up to the end.
