Drapieżcy #2
The second volume of Drapieżcy arrives from Egmont Polska with a cover by Enrico Marini that immediately commands attention: two crimson-clad figures — a powerfully built, bare-chested man and a crouching dark-haired woman with clawed hands — perch atop a gargoyle-adorned rooftop against a rain-soaked gothic cityscape at night. Marini's deep blues and smoldering reds give the whole image a brooding, sensual atmosphere that feels thoroughly at home in 2002's wave of mature European genre comics. Jean Dufaux's story, rendered entirely by Marini's hand from line to color, promises the same blend of dark urban menace and stylish danger that the series title — "The Predators" — so perfectly suggests.
