History

The three-issue Dracula: Blood Hunt miniseries was conceived as a direct tie-in to the 2024 Blood Hunt crossover event — itself announced at New York Comic Con in October 2023 and anchored by writer Jed MacKay and artist Pepe Larraz in the main series. Marvel tasked Danny Lore, who had co-created Brielle Brooks/Bloodline in the 2023 Bloodline: Daughter of Blade limited series (with artist Karen S. Darboe), to write the tie-in, making them the natural creative custodian of the character's escalating arc. Vincenzo Carratù, known for Dead X-Men, handled interior art across all three issues, with covers by Rod Reis and a variant program featuring Mateus Manhanini; the series was edited by Annalise Bissa, who had shepherded Bloodline's original debut.
