"The Girl Who Had to Steal" follows Alice Benson, a desperate woman seeking a man she can love, who becomes romantically entangled with a married man named Curt. After Dr. King intervenes and Monica, Curt's wife, gives her a separative to take, Alice attempts to win Curt away from his marriage by getting him drunk and seducing him. When the scheme backfires and Curt becomes abusive, Dr. King discovers that Curt's wife is actually a sick woman in need of help, and he works to arrange a conference with one of his friends, a construction engineer, to help resolve the troubled marriage and save both Curt and his wife from their destructive situation.
