Dover the Bird is a humorous animal comic featuring multiple stories. In one story, Dover and a companion find a lost brooch and attempt to open a restaurant business, eventually opening a dining establishment where Dover works as an employee. Another story involves a boy named Klippety encountering an increasingly large fish that steals his ring, leading to a tug-of-war before the fish escapes. The issue also includes "Silly Circus," in which an elephant named Ellis works for a circus but grows tired of earning peanuts and quits to find better-paying employment, only to discover that peanuts taste better than money.
