This issue contains multiple stories featuring anthropomorphic animals. "3 Lil' Foxes" follows three young foxes who attempt to find jobs to earn money for the movies after being told they must work for themselves, eventually discovering they can make jobs through their own ingenuity. Another story involves a character named Beany who loses a ring in the water; a fish swallows it, and a camel named Klippety retrieves it by pulling the fish from the water. "Silly Circus" depicts an elephant named Ellis who works for a circus and is tired of earning only peanuts, so he leaves to find a job that pays money—only to discover that peanuts taste better than money and returns to the circus.
