DC's late-1970s horror anthology continues in fine form with this August 1978 issue, featuring the story "Six Claws of the Dragon!" The cover by Michael Wm. Kaluta sets an immediately unsettling mood: a dark-haired woman in a flowing blue gown and fur-trimmed wrap turns with alarm as two massive, vividly green dragon claws rise from the ground at her feet, while an ornate pagoda looms ominously in the purple-hued background. It's a beautifully composed piece of supernatural dread that showcases exactly what made Doorway to Nightmare such a compelling corner of DC's horror line.
