Doom Patrol #9

DC's Young Animal imprint continues to deliver some of the most visually arresting comics of 2018, and this issue's cover — penciled and inked by Nick Derington — is a perfect example. A young person in a denim jacket gazes upward toward a glowing, oversized hand, the deep red background giving the image a dreamlike, charged intensity. Gerard Way's Doom Patrol has always thrived on striking imagery and unconventional storytelling, and "NineNineNine999999 Part 2 of Nada" looks to keep that momentum going strong.
