Part of DC's Young Animal imprint, Doom Patrol #10 arrives in 2018 with one of the more genuinely surreal covers you'll find on a shelf that year — a massive cat face merging with a cosmic backdrop, overlaid with a VHS tape labeled "Be Kind Please Rewind," the bold word "NADA" splashed across it all in yellow and blue. Below, rows upon rows of identical pink-and-blue fuzzy creatures stare outward, while speech bubbles cheekily address the reader directly as the Marines who might just save the Doom Patrol. Nick Derington's cover design captures everything offbeat and wonderfully strange about Gerard Way's vision for this title.
