Doom Patrol #10

Against a blazing orange sun, a dark-haired woman in a flowing green coat faces off against a bandage-wrapped, green-energy-crackling figure in what looks like a fierce mid-battle confrontation — it's a striking image that pulls you straight into the tension of "All the King's Men." The cover pencils and inks by Matthew Clark and John Livesay give the scene a kinetic energy, with capes whipping and claws extended, capturing that distinctive mix of the strange and the action-packed that makes Doom Patrol such a compelling corner of the DC Universe. Issue #10 of Keith Giffen's run is a fine place to see this wonderfully weird team doing what they do best.
