Donald Duck & Co #40/1999
In "Fisketuren," Donald Duck is entrusted with guarding a valuable vase for Dolly, but when it’s accidentally broken, he turns to Petter’s reconstruction machine to fix the damage—only to discover it grants him the power to start a repair shop. The catch? The machine’s energy slowly drains, causing objects (and eventually people) to shrink and vanish. Written by Frank Jonker and Nina Svendsrud, with art by Mau Heymans, this 1999 Norwegian comic from Hjemmet/Egmont features a delightfully absurd premise grounded in classic duck-sized chaos. The cover by Daniel Branca captures the story’s whimsical tension perfectly.
