On the rickety schooner Daffy-O, Donald Duck and his motley crew of young helpers take on the annual cod fishing competition to win the Fishermen's Gold Cup for Uncle Scrooge—under the threat of dire consequences. Though outmatched by seasoned fishermen and hampered by their ship’s questionable seaworthiness, Donald clings to the mysterious "secret device" Scrooge provided, its true purpose still a mystery to him and his crew.
