“The Titanic Ants!”

In "The Titanic Ants!", Donald Duck and his nephews take on a high-stakes role in a reenactment of the Pony Express, only to find themselves caught in a real-life emergency when Donald intercepts a downed plane and agrees to deliver urgent government mail. With the reenactment team unaware of the real cargo, Donald must outrun a surprise ambush at the pass—fueled by his usual mix of stubborn determination and chaotic luck. Written, drawn, and inked by Carl Barks, this 1978 adventure blends historical flair with classic Disney absurdity, while the cover by Bob Gregory and Bill Wright captures the moment of tension with bold, dynamic flair.

Donald and his nephews volunteer to assist with the replaying of the pony express with Donald delivering the mail. The mail is planned to be fake, but Donald encounters a crashed plane and agrees to urgently deliver real government mail containing secret documents for the pilot. Unfortunately, the others involved in the pony express replay are not aware of Donald carrying real mail and proceed to ambush Donald at the pass as part of the re-enactment.
