Don Winslow pursues the villainous Snake, who is involved in criminal rackets operating throughout the town. When the cops threaten to discover Snake's connection to the smugglers, Snake plans to eliminate Don to keep him from exposing the operation to authorities. The issue also contains supporting features including "Bell Bottom Bill: Ought to Be Barred," a humorous story about animal trainers, and "Witless Witmore," a comedy strip about mishaps at sea.
