Don Winslow and Red Pennington, believed to have eliminated a renegade after bombing his headquarters in Alaskan waters, discover their enemy survived and devise a plan to capture him. Winslow sets a trap using himself as bait, leading the renegade into an ambush at a hidden crater location. After successfully burying the renegade, Don and Red encounter German soldiers at a farmhouse, where they narrowly escape being shot by pretending to be German officers, ultimately exposing an impostor among the German ranks.
