Domino #8

Gail Simone's 2019 Domino series delivers some of its most unsettling imagery yet in issue #8, where the cover by Gang Hyuk Lim presents a pale-eyed, white-haired Domino caught in the grip of a snarling, red-eyed Morbius — his fangs bared and clawed hand tearing at her suit against a smoldering, ember-lit background. The tension radiating off that single image — her limp posture, his predatory leer — sets a genuinely menacing tone for "Soldier of Fortune Part Two: Every Nation Runs on Blood." With David Baldeón on interior art and Jesus Aburtov's colors, this is a chapter of Domino's solo run that clearly isn't pulling any punches.
