Dokus #26

The beloved Belgian dunce is back for a twenty-sixth outing with Zidrou and Godi's Dokus, and the cover says it all: our round, cheerfully self-satisfied hero poses in his unmistakable yellow-and-black striped sweater, a dunce cap marked "0/10" perched proudly on his head, surrounded by towering bookshelves while clutching papers covered in crossed-out sums — apparently campaigning for something ("Stem Dokus!" means "Vote Dokus!"). Godi's warm, expressive linework gives the whole scene an irresistible charm, with Dokus leaning into his role with the confidence of someone who has absolutely no idea he shouldn't. Published by Le Lombard in 2022, this is a wonderfully comic portrait of loveable underachievement running for… well, whatever office needs him least.
