Doctor Strange #11
Mark Waid and Jesús Saiz continue "Remittance Part Two" with a cover that immediately sets a compelling tone — a suited, confident man looms large in the foreground, rubber stamp reading "REJECTED" poised to come crashing down on a diminutive but defiant Doctor Strange in his red-and-black Sorcerer Supreme attire. The visual contrast between Strange's mystical grandeur and his suddenly powerless-seeming position beneath that stamp raises immediate questions about what kind of authority this sharply dressed figure holds over Earth's Mightiest Magician. Saiz's artwork delivers strong characterization and a wonderfully unsettling sense of scale that makes this issue hard to set aside.
