Doc Savage surges forward against a roiling wall of fire and smoke on Alex Ross's painted cover for this 2014 Dynamite Entertainment release — the Man of Bronze rendered in burnished golden tones that make him look every bit the physical marvel pulp fiction promised. Chris Roberson and Bilquis Evely's collaboration, colored by Daniela Miwa, keeps this series firing on all cylinders at issue three, and at $3.99 it's a fine chapter in Dynamite's revival of one of adventure fiction's most enduring heroes.
