Doc Savage #14

Part of DC's First Wave line, Doc Savage #14 plunges the Man of Bronze into underwater peril with a cover by J. G. Jones that's hard to look away from. A massive crocodile dominates the composition, jaws wide open and bearing down on a muscular diver — almost certainly Doc himself — who navigates the murky, fish-filled depths alongside submerged stone ruins. The tension between that armored reptile and the lone figure below makes this "Death Beneath the Nile" chapter feel every bit as dangerous as the title promises.
