Doc Frankenstein #2
From Burlyman Entertainment's 2005 reimagining of Mary Shelley's creation, this second issue presents a striking cover by Steve Skroce: a massive, scarred figure — unmistakably Frankenstein's monster — stands with his back to us, a large firearm resting across his shoulders against a storm-lit sky crackling with lightning. The composition is brooding and powerful, suggesting a creature who has claimed his own destiny on his own terms. Written by the Wachowski Brothers with art by Skroce, this series clearly has bold, cinematic ambitions to match.
