Brian Wood and Riccardo Burchielli's DMZ kicks off a new six-part arc with issue #29, and the cover — designed and drawn by Wood himself — sets a striking tone: a silhouetted figure thrusts a red-gloved fist skyward, a white star at its center, against a stark black-and-white Manhattan skyline shrouded in smoke and circled by helicopters.
