Djinn #11
The eleventh volume of Dufaux and Mirallès's lush Franco-Belgian series carries the evocative subtitle Une Jeunesse Éternelle — "An Eternal Youth" — and Mirallès's cover art sets a mood of quiet mystery with a young woman in an emerald green dress, her cascade of dark curls tumbling past her waist, gazing out from an ornate balcony toward a distant Indian palace bathed in soft golden light. Every detail, from the gilded bangles at her wrists to the intricately carved stonework framing the scene, speaks to the series' signature blend of sensuality and exotic atmosphere. Published by Dargaud in 2012, this is Franco-Belgian bande dessinée storytelling at its most visually refined.
