Dutch cartoonist Hein de Kort brings his sharp comedic eye to this third installment of Dirk & Desiree, published by Uitgeverij L in 2007. The cover sets the tone perfectly: a backyard barbecue has gone spectacularly wrong, with towering flames engulfing the grill while one hapless figure stands singed in the chaos, and another looks on wide-eyed clutching a bottle of spirits, muttering a sheepish "Oeps."
