“The Big Dance”

In "The Big Dance," Dilly and Marvin lend a hand to their new neighbors' move-in, only to find themselves tangled in a mix-up when a charming young woman named Sue oversees the effort. Dilly, hoping to impress her, ends up on a date with her daughter—only to discover the real Sue is her daughter-in-law, leading to a series of awkward mishaps and a jealous Gruesome left holding the bag. With Bart Tumey handling both art and inks, and Charles Biro bringing the cover to life, this 1953 Lev Gleason gem delivers classic slapstick charm with a twist.

Dilly and Marvin help the new neighbors move in. Noticing the move-in is supervised by a pretty girl named Sue, Gruesome also volunteers his services. Thinking his work would land him a date with the girl, Dilly calls at the home and gets a date with their daughter Sue, who turns out to be just a little girl. The girl supervising the moving was the family's daughter-in-law, also named Sue. Dilly tricks Gruesome into taking his date with the pre-teen, but ends up with Carol mad at him.
